Air Fryer Teriyaki Cauliflower Wings – a beautiful and delicious alternative to traditional teriyaki wings – easily made in your Air Fryer at home in minutes!
Boy oh boy.. I have never loved cauliflower so much as I did just this past few days! Up until just a few years ago, cauliflower had a special spot on the veggie tray in my house.
The kids and I could literally finish off a head of cauliflower in minutes if ranch dressing was hanging around. From that, it made its way to cauliflower rice, to Chipotle Lime Cauliflower Tacos and a whole host of other cauliflower addictions.
Because that’s usually how I roll – one veggie, I fall in love, and then I want to make EVERYTHING with that veggie. That’s definitely a thing I struggle with in life. 😆😉

Air Fryer Teriyaki Cauliflower Wings
These cauliflower wings were actually the result of my 12 year old’s obsession with his new air fryer. Of all the kids that reside in my home, my 12 year old has proclaimed himself to be the one who loves to cook – he might even love to cook a wee bit more than his mother.
(Right now, that is!)
He was the recipe developer and creator behind these wings – that cooked up easily in the air fryer. Now, I don’t particularly use the air fryer all too often, but we have used it for a few recipes:
- Air Fryer Cheese Balls
- Air Fryer Eggplant Pizza (with Oven Option)
- Air Fryer S’Mores
- Air Fryer Accordion Potatoes
- Air Fryer Cheese Balls
These cauliflower wings come together with these ingredients:
- cauliflower
- panko breadcrumbs
- milk (can use almond, soy or… even regular milk)
- various spices
- teriyaki sauce – made easily with soy sauce, water, brown sugar, honey, garlic, ginger and cornstarch
- sesame seeds and scallions – as garnish for the wings (and completely optional!)
A great meatless alternative, you can easily make these vegan by choosing a vegan-friendly milk, and substituting agave in lieu of the honey – win win!

Air Fryer Teriyaki Cauliflower Wings
Equipment
- Air Fryer
Ingredients
Cauliflower Wings
- 1 head cauliflower
- 1.5 C panko breadcrumbs
- 1 C milk regular, soy or almond
- 1/2 C all purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp salt or to taste
- 1/4 tsp black pepper or to taste
- 1 scallion for garnish
- 1 Tbsp sesame seeds for garnish
Teriyaki Sauce
- 1/2 C water
- 1/4 C soy sauce
- 1/4 C brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp honey or agave
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 Tbsp ginger minced
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch optional - if you want to make the sauce sticky
Instructions
- Start by cutting the cauliflower into florets.
- In a medium sized bowl, add the milk, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. Whisk until well combined.
- Add your cauliflower florets to the bowl with milk and cover all florets. Then put your cauliflower in the panko crumbs and make sure all florets are covered with the panko.
- Place the florets in the air fryer in a single layer. Air fry for 20 minutes on 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- While the cauliflower is cooking, make your teriyaki sauce. Add the water, soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, minced garlic, minced ginger in a sauce pan and cook on medium-high heat until the water has evaporated and the sauce becomes thicker. This can take about 10-15 minutes.
- Once the cauliflower florets are cooked, pour the teriyaki sauce over the florets and garnish with sliced scallions and sesame seeds.
