Sweet and savory, this Candied Maple Brown Sugar Bacon is the perfect treat! Follow this recipe to make this simple treat that everyone will love!
Bacon – yum! It is by far one of the most delicious foods ever made. I have never met anyone who doesn’t like bacon. No matter what way it is cooked, it’s delicious…
Whether it be in your favorite casserole
Or used in Bacon Jam (which is DELICIOUSLY addictive!)
Enjoyed as Bacon Wrapped Smoked Chicken
You can also use Bacon to make homemade Bacon Salt, which is my favorite topping for baked potatoes. Or go a step further, if you make your own cheese at home, you can follow this recipe to make a Beer and Bacon Soaked Cheese.
It’s only natural, then, that we progress into Candied Maple Sugar Bacon – which is, by far, bacon on a whole NEW level.
Candied Maple Brown Sugar Bacon
This candied maple brown sugar bacon starts with plain ol’ bacon…. laid out quite logically on a parchment-lined cookie sheet.
In a small bowl, combine your maple syrup, brown sugar, and ground pepper and brush over the bacon. Flip, then repeat the process. Lay the bacon back down on your cookie sheet, making sure that the pieces are evenly spaced and not overlapping.
Then bake in a hot oven at 400 degrees for 18-20 minutes. Allow to cool before enjoying.
How to Enjoy Candied Maple Brown Sugar Bacon
Enjoy this bacon as a side to your favorite breakfast dish, as an appetizer… or anytime you’re craving something sweet yet savory.
Can this recipe be doubled?
Absolutely! Add an additional parchment-lined cookie sheet and double the ingredients to make this recipe for a larger group. Leftovers don’t hang around long at my home; but if you do find yourselves with leftovers, keep refrigerated in a tightly sealed container.
