Cranberry Butter

Essential Oils

This Cranberry Butter is incredibly easy to whip together and is great on leftover turkey sandwiches!

One of my favorite parts of the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays is having leftover turkey. I could eat turkey for days – in soup, in a casserole, and probably the best way.. is on a sandwich, with some cranberry butter.

A few weeks ago, when we had family for the Thanksgiving holiday, we visited a restaurant in Phoenix that had the best side of cranberry butter. Up until that day, I had never thought about making cranberry butter myself.  When it comes to cranberries, we think of bread, scones, bars perhaps ~ but cranberry butter?

This Cranberry Butter is incredibly easy to whip together and is great on leftover turkey sandwiches!

So amazing and so easy.

Sometimes some of the best recipes are those that are incredibly simple – I think the hardest part of making this was washing the food processor when I was done.

This cranberry butter is such an easy way to use up your cranberries – it tastes delicious on a leftover turkey sandwich and even better smothered on turkey breast.

If you are using essential oils to make your own, they’ll be considerably stronger. Make sure you are using proper essential oils – avoid the synthetic fragrance oils you buy in most grocers. You want something that is certified as GRAS (generally regarded as safe) by the FDA. You also want to avoid the synthetic oils sold at grocery stores because they are primarily for aromatherapy use only (not to use internally).

We use Young Living because they have a vitality line that is labeled for dietary use, and we can follow them from seed to seal – we can also visit the farms and participate in the harvest any time (transparency is pretty important to me).
