All Purpose Bathroom Cleaner {Non-Toxic and Effective}

Essential Oils

Bathroom CleanerHave a dirty bathroom? Give this a try — it works AMAZING.

I’m a huge fan of Thieves Cleaner from Young Living, but this takes it up a notch from that.   It’s not that I didn’t think that Thieves couldn’t handle my “guys” bathroom – it could. But I wanted to give it just a little extra umph.

I have 3 males in the house and their bathroom is horrendous – compared to the girls bathroom. It’s absolutely embarrassing I’m sure not all makes are like that, but in my house they are.

Before you think I don’t clean (and I do.. I promise!) let me tell you that boys can be very crazy little critters in the bathroom. Even big boys can.

Overhaul that bathroom with the ingredients above, and go to work. You will be so happy with the results – I promise!

All Purpose Bathroom Cleaner

  • 1 Capful of Thieves Cleaner by Young Living
  • 5 Drops Lemon Essential Oil
  • 5 Drops Purification Essential Oil
  • 16-24 oz Spray Bottle filled with Water (we got ours on Amazon )

To use: Mix all, shake or gently turn bottle. This mixture is great for Mirrors, Counters, Cabinets, Walls, Toilets, and any surface area. It smells AMAZING and is an EFFECTIVE way to clean without the toxic smells and chemicals of commercial cleaners!

 Thieves Cleaner

Thieves Cleaner is a great all purpose cleaner – it’s extremely concentrated, so it requires dilution (and that varies greatly depending on what you are using it for!)

    I have a question for you on this recipe. You indicate mixing it in a 24 oz glass spray bottle and the link in the recipe above takes you to Amazon. The one that is pulls up is a 16 oz bottle. I can’t find 24 oz bottles on their site so I am confused as to whether you meant a 24 oz bottle or a 16 oz. Can you clear up my confusion?

      You can use a 16-24 oz bottle – I have only a few of the 16 oz brown bottles, and I have about a half dozen 24 oz. I used to buy the Perrier Water … which is in a larger glass bottle (green), and then kept the bottles and repurposed as cleaning bottles with an old spray topper. The bottles are heavy duty glass, the kids have dropped them on several occasions (bringing me the spray bottle when I ask them) and the glass is sturdy and won’t break very easily at all.

      You can adjust the recipe to be a little more (in the 24 oz) or, just use the 16 oz and keep the same recipe – it’ll just be a little stronger, which is fine (especially for bathrooms, if you have boys like I do). Hope that helps 🙂
