This Simple Bell Pepper Relish combines a few easy ingredients to make a relish that’s an amazing topper to steak, chicken or brats – it comes together in mere minutes!
A simple relish can be such a fun experience in the kitchen. Over the years, I have made so many wonderful relishes – from Rosy Radish Relish (being one of my favorites!) to Jalapeño Relish, even Hatch Chile
They’re perfect enjoyed on toasted sourdough, as a topping to your favorite bread, cracker, or as a topping to seafood, steak, or your favorite burger.
Simple Bell Pepper Relish
This relish comes together easily with:
- vinegar
- water
- granulated sugar and salt
- crushed red pepper flakes
- and garlic
It’s simple, yet a wonderful topper to fresh fish, steak or your favorite hamburger fresh off the grill.
Can I use Any Color Bell Pepper?
The best part about this recipe is that you can make it to fit your needs. I love to scour the less than perfect produce rack at my supermarket – in doing so, I managed to get 3 orange bell peppers for $.99.
For a Tri-color relish, use a combination of bell peppers in red, orange, yellow and even green. The choice is yours.
