Create this pearler bead heart and this thinking of you encouragement poem and send to someone who needs a little boost of encouragement!
This past year has been a challenging time for many. We started the year with the early effects of COVID-19.. which progressed into challenging times for many.
From kids to adults, work schedules were altered as we learned how to effectively work from home and manage a family. Children went from attending a brick and mortar school Monday to Friday to learning how to school via Zoom and Google Classroom.
Add this on top of life’s ups and downs and you have friends and family everywhere that are looking for encouragement.
Perler Bead Heart
This pearler bead heart is super easy to whip together with just two different color beads. If you don’t have pink and white/red beads feel free to change the colors to suit your taste.
You’ll want to have the following materials handy to whip together this card:
- 8.5 x 11 cardstock
- perler beads (red and pink/white)
- adhesive dots (can pick up at the Dollar Tree)
In addition to those items, you will also want to have:
- an iron
- a heart pearler bead board
- parchment paper for ironing
- 5×7 envelopes (pick up at Hobby Lobby or here on Amazon)
- and completely optional: 5×7 adhesive sleeves
Thinking of You Encouragement Poem
Once the heart is done, iron it with parchment paper, taking care not to hold it over one particular area too long.
Set the heart aside, and print the Thinking of You Poem (it prints two per page). Use a paper cutter or scissors to cut the poem down the middle of the page.
Use a single adhesive dot or dab of glue to glue it to the top of the poem card. Once dry, add your plastic sleeve, and tuck it in a 5×7 envelope.
Will this require extra postage?
The best thing about this pearler bead project is that it will travel by regular mail using one forever postage stamp. There is no need to wait in line or use the self serve machine (as long as you have stamps!) Just stamp and address it and pop it in the box at the post office.
(Don’t want to make this yourself? You can find the card & pearler bead heart with free shipping when you head here).
