A few months ago I shared a Lavender Chamomile Bath Melt that you could whip up in a jiffy using a few simple ingredients. The melts are super simple to make and perfect to give to mom or, a teacher for a gift, or to keep for yourself.
With teacher appreciation this week, and Mother’s Day a few days away, I wanted to share another handmade gift idea that would be just as easy to put together.
Melt and pour soaps are such a wonderful alternative to the soap making process that involves lye – this soap would be amazing to gift for a teacher or, for Mom this Mother’s Day.

You can personalize with a different scent, or use your own choice of soap molds – it literally takes minutes. Simply melt the soap, add in the essential oil, then pour into your choice of mold.
Several months ago we made Chamomile Lavender Bath Melts, and we love that combination because it’s incredibly soothing for tired skin. Lavender is very relaxing, and we know that mom could always use a little relaxation in her life.
Find all the ingredients to whip this soap together on Amazon – we made it very easy for you to locate the items by linking them below. Use a glass pyrex cup to melt the soap in the microwave, then select your choice of essential oil (we love Young Living’s Lavender Essential Oil) and pour into molds.
Within 30 minutes those bars will be hardened and you can wrap up and tie with a beautiful bow to gift. We tied 3 bars with some ribbon and then put in a cute gift bag with a gift tag letting the recipient know that it was a simple Lavender Gift Soap.
The recipient can use the soap as a decorative part of their bathroom or use in the shower or bath as needed.
