One of the best combinations of essential oils is lavender and lemon – and when it comes to this beautiful scent, it’s great for making lotion or, lip scrub.
When we use a scrub, we get the dead layers off of our skin in hopes to find smoother, and potentially even younger skin.
The same goes for the lips. Your goal is to make them more smooth and kissable and a few different things can help you achieve that goal. Thankfully these things are just a few steps away in your pantry. Gotta love it! 🙂
Lip Scrub uses a gritty substance (like sugar) to gently exfoliate the surface layers of your lips. This sugar removes the outer, dry and yucky surface and brings out the new skin – with the intent of making a smooth, more kissable surface.
Use your scrub regularly and you will prevent your lips from becoming chapped and dry. With just a few simple ingredients, you can whip up your own and have enough leftover for a friend.
Honey: Honey contains superior antibacterial, probiotic, and healing properties and is super nourishing and hydrating.
Organic Cane Sugar: Sugar has glycolic acid that helps to exfoliate the dry, chapped skin and get rid of the dead skin cells.
Coconut Oil: Naturally antibacterial and anti-fungal, coconut oil for skin is an excellent moisturizer, it can penetrate better than other carrier oil.
Lavender Essential Oil: One of the best, and most nourishing oils for skin, It works wonders to support healthy skin, hair and nails.
Lemon Essential Oil: Such a wonderful oil to help brighten and revive dull skin and provide skin support as needed to nourish and cleanse.
This combination is not only wonderful to support healthy lips, it smells incredible ~ it’s so inexpensive to make, that it would be a great DIY to make in mass and gift to friends and family – even for Mother’s Day.
