A simple homemade DIY hand sanitizer for the whole family. This hand sanitizer is easy to make and carry with you wherever you go.
Before I had kids, I had a thing about dirt (and germs…). After having a few kids (five kids now…) my entire perspective has changed. Let’s just say that I’ve learned to embrace dirt a little more than ever before.
Oddly enough… the more we seem to embrace it, the less we seem to get sick. Of course, many other factors come into play – a good diet, raw milk and natural preventatives (probiotic soda, elderberry syrup and raw milk..)
Please though – don’t throw away your soap and hand sanitizer. As much as I think it’s great for kids to be outdoors playing in the dirt and garden, I also do believe in cleanliness.
It’s important to have a good hand soap. It’s also just as important to have a reliable laundry soap or laundry butter DIY. Body wash is also a must (but if you don’t like body wash then by all means, do bar soap!)

DIY Hand Sanitizer
Hand sanitizer does have a time and place – perhaps at the grocery store after touching a dirty cart. Or when handling money at your local department or grocery store.
Because soap and water isn’t always conveniently available, we turn to hand sanitizer. You can keep this hand sanitizer in your purse or in the car. It’s easily made with just a few simple ingredients – and it’s super easy to whip together.
While we do need cleanliness, let’s not get too out of control.
Let’s try to avoid constantly sanitizing our home with tons of toxins and washing our dollar bills in hand sanitizer just because we think it will help. Cleaning is definitely good! But sometimes, a little bit of healthy dirt is good for the immune system.
Our gut needs good bacteria to fight off the bad bacteria. That is what helps strengthen our immune system.
