This Whiskey Barbecue (BBQ) Sauce is hands-down, the best sauce around! It comes together in less than 15 minutes with easy ingredients that pack a punch in flavor!
Add Whiskey, sliced onion and minced garlic to medium skillet or saucepan. Sauce the onions and garlic in the whiskey until the onions are transluscent, 5-7 minutes.
Stir in the remainder of the ingredients. Bring to a boil, then immediately reduce the heat and simmer for just under 10 minutes.
Pour mixture into blender and top with lid to blend until smooth. Or, use immersion blender to blend until the sauce is a smooth consistency.
Pour into storage containers and top tightly with lid. Refrigerate until serving. When properly refrigerated, the sauce will last for up to 2 weeks.
