Equipment

Ingredients

  • fresh mangoes

Instructions

Fresh Mangoes:

  • Remove the outer skin with a sharp knife. Slice the mangoes in half lengthwise; remove the pit. Slice the remaining halves into smaller, thin pieces.
  • Lay on dehydrator tray with adequate space and dehydrate for 8-16 hours at 135 degrees F (52 degrees C).

Pre-sliced Mangoes:

  • For pre-sliced mangoes sold in a container in the grocery store, dehydrating is even easier. Lay the pieces on your dehydrator tray ensuring enough space is left around each piece.
  • Dehydrate for 8-16 hours at 135 degrees F (52 degrees C).

Store the Mangoes:

  • Dehydrated mangoes can be stored in a sealed container or a ziplock bag on the counter. When properly dehydrated and stored, the pieces can last for up to one year. Allow the pieces to cool completely before storing.Make sure to label the dehydrated mangoes properly. Store the container in a cool, dark, and dry place in a clean, tight-fitting container.
