Parmesan Chive Bread

Super soft and deliciously warm Parmesan Chive Bread that's SO stinkin' easy to make! Piled with a little butter, it's a wonderful addition to the dinner table!

Ingredients

  • 1.75 C all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 5 Tbsp unsalted butter chilled
  • 1 C milk
  • 3 Tbsp fresh chives chopped
  • 1/2 C parmesan cheese shredded

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.
  • Sift the flour, salt, and baking powder into a large mixing bowl.
  • Add the chilled butter and cut into the dry ingredients using a pastry knife or two knives until it has the appearance of a coarse corn meal. Stir in the milk, chives, and parmesan cheese.
  • Pour batter into a greased loaf pan and sprinkle with a little extra parmesan cheese. 
  • Place the pan in the oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes or until center in cooked and golden brown.
  • Allow to cool before removing from baking pan.
