Cheesy Garlic Swiss Chard

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp salted butter
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp garlic minced
  • 1 bunch swiss chard coarsely chopped, stems included
  • 1/2 C broth chicken or vegetable
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/3 C grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Melt the butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Stir in the garlic, and cook for approximately 30 seconds until fragrant. 
  • Add the broth and chard stems only, and cook about 5 minutes, or until the stems begin to soften. 
  • Stir in the chard leaves, and cook until wilted. 
  • Add the lemon juice to the skillet, and sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Stir well, and serve!
