Jalapeño Simple Syrup Recipe

Jalapeño simple syrup is both spicy and sweet and the key to an amazing margarita!  It's easy to make at home with just two key  ingredients!

Ingredients

  • 2 C water
  • 2 C granulated sugar
  • 6 jalapeños stem and seeds removed

Instructions

  • Combine the water and sugar in a medium saucepan over low/medium heat.
  • Once the sugar is dissolved, add 6 sliced jalapeños and bring the mixture to a low simmer for ten minutes.
  • Turn off the heat; let the syrup cool.
  • Combine the syrup in your Vitamix and blend until combined.
  • Strain the syrup through a fine mesh strainer or a double layer of coffee filters. Bottle into a glass jar.
  • Refrigerate for up to one month.
