Sometimes we are incredibly hard on our feet — but going out to get our feet soaked and taken care of is difficult (or, perhaps out of the budget).
This easy cooling foot cream is wonderful – it is made with just 3 ingredients .. or 4 if you want to use both Peppermint and Rosemary Essential Oils. You can whip this up in just a few minutes, without a blender – it’s great to keep for yourself or to give as a gift.
You can’t get much easier than this recipe – it’s basically dump, whip and enjoy!
Why use Peppermint & Rosemary Essential Oils?
Both are wonderful for supporting tired feet – they provide a cool, refreshing feeling. This cooling foot cream is best applied at night, before bed, on clean feet. Once it hits your feet it will melt into your feet, so throw on a pair of socks and let your feet soak in the moisture.
The Aloe Vera gel soothes and moisturizes while the Coconut Oil keeps your feet healthy and moisturized.
You can use a hand blender to make this lotion – it keeps wonderfully on the counter in the bathroom provided your house is cool.
Here in Arizona the weather is very warm in the summer.. so if you are facing similar weather, it’s best tucked in the fridge 😉
Peppermint and Rosemary Cooling Foot Cream
Ingredients:
- 1/2 C. coconut oil (room temp, not melted)
- 1/4 C. aloe vera gel
- 12 drops each Peppermint and Rosemary Essential Oils (see what we use here)
To make: Combine all ingredients in your blender and blend on high until a nice, light whip. Pour into a 6 oz canning jar and cover. Use as needed on feet – best to apply, then cover your feet with socks overnight.
I personally love the half pint Ball Mason jars – they tend to be a bit high on Amazon, but you can find at Target for much less. You may even want to scour your local thrift store for jars – ours always has jars for $1 or less that work wonderful for scrubs and lotions.
